Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed w/Spicy Sausage

Thanksgiving is upon us and here is a great grain-free option to bring for everyone to snack on before the feast. This yummy little treat packs just enough sweet to compliment the savory components to make for the perfect pre-snack to Thanksgiving dinner.


Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed W/ Hot Sausage


Ingredients:

7 medjool dates

7 Slices Center Cut Bacon

1 Hot Itlian Sausage Link

Toothpicks


1.) Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2.) Place bacon slices on sheet pan with sausage link and cook for 10-15 mins.

3.) Let bacon and sausage cool. Then slice each medjool date and bacon in half so you have 14 pieces of each. In addition, slice the sausage link into 14 small pieces.

4.) Place sliced sausage into half sliced date and wrap with the half piece of bacon. Then place toothpick through and place on a sheet pan. Continue until all 14 are made and placed on the sheet pan.

7.) Lower over temp to 350 degrees and place the bacon wrapped dates stiffed with sausage in the oven for 10 mins or until golden brown.

8.) Let cool and enjoy!
