Pizza! This popular dish has always been a hard one for me to incorporate into my diet because I either only get a slice… and come on who only eats a slice or I just avoid it completely because I can’t make it fit into my meals for the day. So I’ve come up with a recipe that allows me to get my pizza fix without sacrificing flavor or giving up all my calories for the day. Trade out the topping for a different creation each time you make it!
1 Lavash Bread
16 Turkey pepperoni
½ cup Marinara Sauce
¼ cup Low Fat Mozzarella
1 cup Sauteed onions and peppers
1.) Preheat oven to 350
2.) Place Lavash Bread on a baking sheet and place in oven for 5-7 minutes until it begins to crisp up.
3.) Take Lavash bread and top with marinara, turkey pepperoni, onions and peppers (cooked prior). Lastely, top with cheese and place in the oven for 5-7 mins.
4.) Once cheese is melted, take out of the oven and let cool. Top with additional ingredients like parmesan, chopped spinach, olives, etc. and enjoy.
