It may be fall but we are still hitting triple digits in Arizona which means, Açaí bowls are still on the menu!
While there are tons of different variations for the all mighty Açaí bowl, I wanted to recreate one I recently had at a local restaurant. I figured instead of going out and paying $10-$13 on a bowl of blended fruit, even though it's so tasty, I could easily make my own at home.
I kept the recipe simple and topped it with some homemade granola and fresh fruit to make it feel just like I got it from the professionals 😜
Protein Packed Acai Bowl
1 Scoop Whey Protein (I used PEscience Cake Pop)
1 pack Frozen Acai Mix (100g)
84g Frozen Mixed Berries
84g Frozen Blend of mangos, pineapple, strawberries & peaches
1/2 Almond Milk
Granola and fresh/frozen fruit to garnish
Add Acai Mix, frozen fruit, protein and almond milk to a blender and blend until fully combined.
Garnish bottom of bowl with some granola and pour mixture over.
Garish top of mixture with more granola and fresh fruit. Feel free to get fancy with it by adding nuts & seeds, coconut, chocolate chips, have fun with it!
